Skizaa AI Insights Hub
As the Lead UI/UX Designer for Skizaa AI, I designed the Insights Hub, a platform that enables users to seamlessly upload, manage, and analyze data. It supports file-based uploads (CSV, Excel) and database integrations (BigQuery, PostgreSQL, MySQL), catering to both individuals and organizations. My role involved collaborating with cross-functional teams to create an intuitive experience, optimizing workflows for efficient data processing and AI-driven insights.
Challenge - Streamlining Data Source Uploads and Integration
Skizaa AI needed to support diverse data sources, including CSV, Excel, and enterprise-level databases like BigQuery, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. The challenge was to create a unified and seamless experience that allowed:
Enterprise database integration for large-scale organizations (BigQuery, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
File-based uploads for smaller datasets (CSV, Excel).
The solution needed to handle various formats, manage large datasets, and ensure contextual accuracy for AI-driven insights.
Process - Designing Data Source Upload Options
Designed a dedicated interface for seamless data integration and file uploads.
Once integrated, the system automatically generates an overview, highlighting:
Table relationships & auto-generated context for better insights.
Missing data & potential issues, helping users refine data before analysis.
Editable overviews, allowing users to improve accuracy before insight generation.
Table previews, where users can view column names, types, and sample rows before analysis.
Solution
The final design empowered users to manage their data sources efficiently, making Skizaa AI adaptable to any organizational changes. This enhanced flexibility contributed to a seamless data integration experience, increasing user satisfaction and retention.
Design Challenges and Solutions
Ensuring Compatibility Across Different Data Formats:
One of the major challenges was ensuring compatibility between various data formats (CSV, Excel, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Solution: Collaborating with the engineering team, we tested various formats, created guidelines for data integration, and developed a flexible upload system capable of handling different formats while maintaining a smooth user experience.
Enhanced Interaction and Insight Generation
Once the insight is generated, users can save it to the dashboard, edit, share, and download for seamless interaction and accessibility.

The Skizaa AI Insights Hub empowers users to upload, manage, and analyze data with intuitive controls and advanced insights generation. By focusing on user-centered design and team collaboration, we created a scalable, flexible, and accessible platform. Looking ahead, we plan to enhance customization for data previews—allowing users to filter and adjust views for faster exploration—and expand integrations with formats like JSON, XML, and platforms such as Shopify and WooCommerce for seamless data analysis.
